An active Buddhist temple founded in the 11th century, tucked between downtown towers, known for its hall of 500 arhat statues and Song-dynasty rock carvings.

Tip
Look closely at the Ancient Buddha Cliff, a rock wall over 20 metres long with more than 400 Song-dynasty figures. It is a working temple: dress modestly and ask before photographing monks. Hongyadong and Jiefangbei are a short walk away.
