Monte Changbai, vertiente oeste (1.442 escalones hasta Tianchi)
长白山西景区（天池西坡） · Chángbái Shān Xī Jǐngqū (Tiānchí Xīpō)
La vista más amplia y frontal de Tianchi: desde el final de la carretera del autobús subes 1.442 escalones (unos 900 m) hasta el borde, junto a un hito fronterizo entre China y Corea del Norte. Más abajo están el gran cañón de Jinjiang, el río Escalera y prados alpinos con flores.
Sube despacio: la escalera empieza a unos 2.000 m y el aire es fino. En el borde hay un hito fronterizo con Corea del Norte y la frontera cruza el lago: quédate del lado chino de las barandillas, sigue las indicaciones del personal y no fotografíes guardias ni instalaciones fronterizas.

- Open all year. Summer 2026 notices: tickets checked 07:30–13:30 at the visitor centres; Jinjiang Grand Canyon open until 17:00 (until 30 September). Shorter hours from November to April, and the summit often closes for weather. Por confirmar

- Entry ¥105 + compulsory eco shuttle bus ¥85 (the walk up the 1,442 steps is free). A line bus from the Baixi or Chixi transport hubs to the gate costs ¥14–19. In winter, a snowmobile ride to the summit is about ¥165.

- Cómo llegar
- The West Slope is entered from Fusong County (Baishan). Easiest is to fly into Changbaishan Airport (NBS), close to the west side, and stay in the Chixi or resort area. From Erdaobaihe, two daily buses run from the Chibei bus station to Chixi (¥26), or hire a car (about 1.5–2 hours). Por confirmar
