Xiamen Island is compact. Metro Lines 1–3 and the BRT cover the main routes; pay with Alipay or WeChat transit codes. Taxis and DiDi are cheap. The best way to see the south coast is by bike or on foot along Huandao Road. Gulangyu is car-free: you reach it only by tourist ferry from the Xiamen–Gulangyu Terminal at Dongdu (daytime), and walk once there.

- 구랑위섬(구랑서)Ferry tickets are real-name and timed, and popular slots sell out days ahead on weekends and holidays. Official channels only: the 屿见厦门 (Yujian Xiamen) mini-program in WeChat or Alipay, or the Xiamen Ferry website xmferry.com. Add yourself as a passenger with “other ID / passport” and your passport number. Tickets open up to about 15 days ahead at 09:00. If online booking rejects your passport or needs a Chinese phone, go to the counter at the Dongdu terminal early with your passport. Board by showing your passport or order QR code.
- 샤먼대학교Only through the 厦门大学访客预约系统 WeChat account or the 参观厦大 mini-program, 1–3 days ahead; demand is high and a lottery is used on busy days. Passport holders enter through the Visitor Centre gate on Siming South Road and are checked manually at the counter, so bring the passport you booked with.
- 난푸퉈사Free timed booking, up to 4 days ahead, only via the 南普陀寺预约服务平台 WeChat mini-program; enter at the east gate in your hour slot. Ignore paid “booking services”. If the mini-program will not take your passport, ask at the east gate.
- 화교 박물관Free real-name booking at least one day ahead on the museum website (hqbwy.org.cn, “Visit” page) or by phone 0592-2084028; bring the ID you booked with. If online booking will not take a passport, call or ask at the entrance.
- 지메이 학촌과 아오위안Aoyuan and the memorial museum use free real-name booking in morning and afternoon slots, same day up to 7 days ahead, through the 集美鳌园景区 WeChat account (门票预约 → 散客预约). If it will not accept your passport, ask at the entrance with your passport.

鼓浪屿구랑위섬(구랑서)차가 없는 유네스코 세계유산 섬으로, 서양식 저택과 정원, 피아노의 섬이에요. 샤먼에서 배로 20분이에요.
日光岩일광암(르광옌)구랑위에서 가장 높은 화강암 바위로, 빨간 지붕 너머 샤먼 스카이라인이 보여요.
菽庄花园수좡 화원과 피아노 박물관1913년에 만든 바닷가 정원으로, 바다 위 지그재그 다리와 고풍스러운 피아노 박물관이 있어요.
厦门大学샤먼대학교중국에서 가장 아름다운 캠퍼스로 꼽혀요. 호수와 바닷가 잔디밭, 중국식 지붕에 서양식 벽을 올린 1920년대 건물이 있어요.
南普陀寺난푸퉈사우라오봉 아래의 붐비는 불교 사찰로, 연못과 전각, 뒷산 바위 글씨로 가는 길이 있어요.
胡里山炮台후리산 포대1890년대 해안 포대로, 거대한 독일 크루프 대포가 있고 진먼 쪽 바다가 보이며 매일 포 훈련 시연이 있어요.

厦门园林植物园샤먼 식물원(완스 식물원)섬 한가운데 언덕에 자리한 큰 식물원으로, 안개가 뿌려지는 열대우림 구역, 선인장·다육식물원, 호수, 시내 전망대가 있어요.
华侨博物院화교 박물관자선가 탄카키(천자겅)가 1959년에 세운 무료 박물관으로, 동남아와 세계로 떠난 중국 이민자들의 역사를 보여 줘요.
集美学村지메이 학촌과 아오위안탄카키가 세운 학교들이 제비꼬리 지붕을 얹고 용선 호수를 둘러싸고 있고, 바닷가 곶에는 화강암 조각으로 꾸민 그의 묘원 아오위안이 있어요.
环岛路（白城沙滩）환다오루 해안도로와 바이청 해변야자수가 늘어선 해안도로로, 자전거·보행로가 따로 나 있어 바이청 해변에서 동쪽으로 모래사장을 따라 달리며 바다 건너 진먼이 보여요.
厦门市博物馆샤먼시 박물관문화예술센터 안의 시립 박물관으로, 무역항 샤먼의 역사와 민난 문화, 지역 공예를 소개해요. 무료이고 붐비지 않아요.
山海健康步道산해 건강 산책로샤먼섬을 가로질러 언덕과 공원, 도로 위를 지나는 무료 공중 산책로로, 항구·도시·바다 전망대가 있어요. ‘윈하이(구름바다) 코스’만 약 23km예요.
皓月园하오웨위안(정성공 동상)구랑위섬 동쪽 끝의 바닷가 정원으로, 해협을 바라보는 명나라 충신 장군 정성공(국성야)의 15.7m 화강암 동상이 있어요.
漳州古城장저우 고성샤먼에서 기차로 금방 가는 당일치기 여행지로, 사람이 사는 옛 도심에 치러우 거리, 돌 패방, 문묘, 민난 간식 가게가 있어요.第八市场（八市）바스(제8시장)항구 근처 옛 치러우(騎樓) 거리에 있는 샤먼에서 가장 유명한 재래시장으로, 활어·해산물, 건어물, 과일과 대대로 이어진 옛날 간식 가게가 있어요.
五缘湾湿地公园우위안만 습지공원섬 북동쪽에 있는 샤먼 최대 공원으로 85헥타르의 호수, 목재 데크, 작은 섬이 있고 백로와 흑고니, 물 위를 지나는 고가 지하철을 볼 수 있어요.
鹭江夜游루장 야간 유람선허핑 부두에서 출발해 약 90분 동안 불 밝힌 구랑위섬, 샤먼대학 해안, 하이창대교를 지나는 야간 유람선으로, 배 안에서 작은 공연도 있어요.지도

沙茶面사차면(사테 국수)Noodles in a rich peanut-and-shrimp satay broth; you pick toppings like pork liver, squid, tofu puffs and prawns from a counter.
海蛎煎굴전(하이리젠)Small local oysters fried with egg, sweet potato starch and spring onion, served with a sweet chilli sauce.
土笋冻투순둥(바다 벌레 젤리)A cold jelly set from boiled sipunculid sea worms, eaten with vinegar, garlic and mustard. Xiamen’s famous dare food, and genuinely good.
花生汤땅콩 수프Peanuts slow-cooked until soft in a light sweet soup; a classic breakfast or dessert, often with a fried dough stick.
姜母鸭생강 오리Duck braised in a clay pot with lots of old ginger, sesame oil and rice wine; warming and rich.
